Hamsalekha Images Private Limited maiden venture with 25 plus students of degree and post graduation studies in theatre, music and film courses acting in ‘Bhagavathi Kaadu’ – the brainchild of noted music director Hamsalekha has been completed in the hot city of Hospet where 25 days of shoot was held for the film under the 200 years old Neem tree in Marenahalli.

“The shooting has come to an end one day earlier to the stipulated time. In fifteen days dubbing and editing will be completed. Shooting in hot Hospet was somewhat easy because of the ‘Laila’ effect. The ever hot city Hospet was similar to Bangalore says Hamsalekha. Another beauty of shooting is that in Marenahalli there many theatre troupes that came to the help of ‘Bhagavathi Kaadu’. The 300 plus extras, children, the shooting equipments were very useful for us”, remembers Hamsalekha.

‘Bhagavathi Kaadu’ that has just completed the shooting in the direction of K Shivarudraiah is an environmental film. The whole film revolves around the 200 years old Neem tree. Hamsalekha is having a tie up with the Forest Department of Government of Karnataka. Hamsalekha has scored the music for this film and songs are penned by Dr Narayan and SG Siddaramaiah.
